Disability support
The Disability Advice and Support (DAS) service supports students with a wide range of physical and sensory disabilities, medical conditions and specific learning differences (SpLD). This includes, but is not limited to:

Human support, such as providing a note taker for teaching sessions

Digital voice recorder

Specialist study tutor to help improve and plan the structure of essays

IT software
Each faculty has a disability contact whose role is to help you access disability support and ensure that you are getting appropriate assistance during your studies.

Disability Advice and Support and the Faculty Disability Co-ordinators (FDCs) work together to support you. They are provided with a copy of your diagnostic assessment and/or needs assessment report. The FDCs inform your course team of the recommendations in your personal report so they can support you during your studies.
Libraries and Learning Services
Alongside the support provided to students with disabilities by DAS, the Libraries and Learning Service also has a disability support team who are available to provide assistance to users with a disability, a specific learning difference, such as dyslexia, or medical condition that affects their ability to study.
The services provided by the support team includes:
