Our dedicated Centre for English Language Learning (CELL) offers a range of courses designed to help you improve your language skills, before and during your studies. The centre is accredited by the British Council for the quality of its teaching, so you can be sure you are receiving the highest standard of English language tuition.
Our experienced staff have taught all over the world and have extensive knowledge of the current best practices for teaching English language.
The centre provides a superb study environment at the heart of DMU’s city campus. Students will have access to the full range of DMU facilities, including classrooms with AV equipment, and state-of-the-art study spaces featuring audio, video and computer technology.

In 2025, CELL was re-accredited for its English teaching provision, receiving strengths in 12 areas, including teaching, learning resources, course design, learner management, student administration and care of students.
