Disability Advice and Support

De Montfort University has one of the largest populations of disabled students in the country, and we are committed to providing leading support to enable our students to achieve their full potential.

We aim to ensure that all our students have the opportunity to fully participate in their chosen course and university experience. We encourage students and applicants to inform us about a disability or medical condition as early as possible, so that relevant support can be arranged for their studies. This can include liaising with academics, the exams office and other key teams to ensure that all support is in place.

The DAS team also work closely with the Mental Health Inclusion team.

Once you are a student at DMU, you can book an appointment to see a member of the Disability team through MyGateway. If you are an applicant and want to discuss your future support needs in more detail, please email us at disability@dmu.ac.uk.
