Meet the team
Charlotte Borrows, Branch Manager
Charlotte has worked for Unitemps since 2009 previously working for Unitemps at the Head Office within the University of Warwick and the Unitemps Birmingham branch. Working at the Unitemps branch at De Montfort University since 2012, her primary role was to look after all of the internal jobs on campus filling a variety of positions. Charlotte’s role is now as Branch Manager and is based in the Unitemps office in the Campus Centre. Charlotte’s hobbies include travelling, shopping and reading.
Lynne Parker, External Sales Associate
Lynne joined the university as the External Sales Associate for Unitemps focusing maximising the number of opportunities for students and graduates to find work locally within the business community. She has worked previously in both the private and public sector for 30 years in various roles including Recruitment, Learning and Development and Human Resources. Lynne’s hobbies include watching and playing tennis and watching Leicester Tigers.
Leanne Easom, Recruitment Resourcer
Leanne is a DMU graduate in Psychology with Education and has previously worked as a Trade Sales Advisor for a Designer Furniture Company and as a Branch Administrator for a High Street Recruitment Agency. Leanne joined the University in November 2015 as a Recruitment Resourcer and works closely with the branches External Sales Associate. She has a keen interest in cooking, fitness, animals and travelling.
Iulia Popivici, Branch Administrator
Iulia started working with Unitemps in January 2017, and you will find Iulia on front desk greeting all of our temps, and candidates interested in finding work with Unitemps. Iulia has previously worked in Customer Service roles, mainly within the Hospitality industry and is really passionate about working with people and socializing. Iulia loves Geography and travelling and enjoy’s reading, especially travel literature. Iulia is here to assist everyone with their Unitemps queries so feel free to stop by for a chat and she will be happy to help!

How do I register?
Complete the online form on www.unitemps.com. Once you have registered online don’t forget to upload your CV in the ‘My Details’ section and upload contact details of 2 referees, otherwise we won’t be able to shortlist you for any jobs that you apply for.
I’ve registered; what now?
Once you’ve registered online and uploaded your CV, you’re free to browse the jobs advertised on our website and apply for jobs.
Do I need to pop into the office?
Yes, but only once you’ve been booked into a job as you’ll need to bring in either a passport or full birth certificate for ID purposes and your bank details to fill out a payroll form. This will need to be completed before you start your new assignment.
What are your opening hours?
The Unitemps office on campus is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Are the jobs on-campus (internal) or off-campus (external)?
Our available jobs are based on campus, and in the Leicestershire area.
Will I be working days, evenings or weekends?
There are a range of jobs advertised, all with a varying number of hours that cover days, evenings and weekends.
I want to work during the vacation period but I will not be in Leicester; what do I do?
You can search for job opportunities located near to where you’ll be spending your vacation period by using the search function on the Unitemps website. It doesn’t matter that you’re studying at DMU because Unitemps uses a shared database of candidates to fill job opportunities.
When is pay day for the De Montfort Unitemps Branch?
Unitemps runs a monthly payroll (please see your information booklet for timesheet cut off dates). Any full weeks’ work completed and approved by your manager before that date will be paid to you on the 25th of each month. In the instance that the 25th falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you will be paid on the working day prior to that.
I’ve got a query regarding my pay – what do I do?
In the first instance, you should check your payslip as the majority of queries can be resolved when you open your payslip and are able to see the wage breakdown. Your payslips can be found on the DMUHub. Login details will have been emailed to you for the DMUHub nearer your first payday.

How do I claim my holiday pay?
You can claim your holiday monthly by visiting the Unitemps website, logging on, clicking ‘My Details’ and then ‘Holiday Pay’. Please ensure that you request your holiday before the cut-off date for that month, so that it can be paid to you on the next pay date. If you are unsure of the payroll cut off dates, please refer to your information booklet, or contact the office firstname.lastname@example.org
What do I do if I can’t make it into work?
In the event that you’re unable to make it into work, you will need to immediately call your line manager and let them know. Please make a note of your hiring managers contact details at the start on your assignment. Next you will need to call the Unitemps office on (0116) 207 8351 and speak to a member of staff.
When do I have to fill out my timesheets by?
Timesheets need to be completed weekly via the Unitemps website, and then approved online by your hiring manager.
What happens once I’ve filled out a timesheet?
Once you’ve completed your timesheet, you will receive an automated email stating the hours that you worked. Your line manager will also get an email notifying them that you’ve completed your timesheet and that it’s waiting their approval. Once your timesheet has been approved by your line manager, you will both receive a final email confirming that your timesheet has been approved.
What do I do if I’ve forgotten my login details for the website?
Please click on forgotten password on the Unitemps website, and enter in the email address you registered with, as this will be your username. A password reset link will then be emailed to you. Please check your spam folder if the link does not reach your inbox.
