De Montfort University’s Festival of Creativity celebrates the diverse, creative and innovative events that the Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities offers.

We are incredibly proud to showcase the creative talents of our students in the different shows and exhibitions that take place in Leicester, as well as in other leading UK venues.

We are currently finalising the details of our 2018 events, but our calendar is as full and impressive as ever, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from all over the country including industry experts, employers, design professionals and anyone with a passion for creativity.

GOLDEN YEAR

Following the success of Fashion Design graduate Hazel Symons at GFW last year, we have continued to maintain outstanding student achievement. This year Contour Fashion graduate Elissa Grainger beat off over 600 brands to win a prestigious ASOS competition with a £50,000 prize with her trademark latex lace designs, which combine the two fabrics in a unique aesthetic.

Product and Furniture Design graduate Agnete Linikaite has seen her street furniture designs go into production after winning a competition with leading hard landscaping manufacturer Marshalls. Fashion Design student Katrina Zdanovska was one of just 20 finalists in the 2017 Fashion Awareness Direct competition at London Fashion Week, bringing the next of UK undergraduate talent to one of the world’s most anticipated catwalks.
