Digital Economics and Artificial Intelligence
This module focuses on the Economics of digital change and Artificial Intelligence (AI), their implications, and how crucial they have become to comprehend real-world situations. This module will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of theoretical, applied and practical aspects of advanced technologies and will study how their usage has impacted the varied economic aspects of our lives.
This module will provide you with skills to draw upon economics, data science and technology literature to critically analyse the effects of digital transformation. It will involve an advanced understanding of national strategies, approaches and policies across technologies and digital innovations. There will also be an opportunity to sharpen computational skills for advanced data analysis using statistical software and applications.
Dissertation
The module provides an opportunity for you to undertake an independent research study in an area of special interest within selected subject areas of economics. You will develop communication skills in presenting your ideas visually, verbally and in written format.
You will develop research skills in applying econometric analysis or experimental methods to the solution of economic problems or research questions of interest in economics. You also have the opportunity to complete a dissertation that includes mathematical modelling or computational simulations.
