Set alongside the surviving ruins of the medieval Church of the Annunciation, the museum display offers the first in-depth exploration of Dame Zandra Rhodes’s Autumn/Winter 1983 Medieval Collection. It traces the development of her fantastical vision of medieval dress, from historical research and design sketches to finished garments and runway presentation. The display forms part of Zandra Rhodes Archive Unfolded, celebrating her significant donation to De Montfort University Special Collections. Dame Zandra Rhodes said: "After learning about the University's special collections and its impressive facilities and opportunities available to students and staff, I knew I wanted to build a connection with the institution to help inspire the creative minds of today and tomorrow. I am thrilled to have found a home for a key part of my archive where it will live on as a vibrant, hands-on resource for learning and creativity."
