The DMU Security team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Security control room is located on campus in the Estates Services Building. As well as conducting campus patrols and working closely with the Campus PC, Security operate a comprehensive CCTV system around campus and Bede Park. If you have any questions or concerns about your safety or in an emergency, you can contact Security at any time.

DMU Security provide advice and guidance on personal safety i.e. how to look after yourself and your possessions.
Outside of core teaching hours, Security will also provide initial support and response to a crisis or any incident involving a DMU student on campus or in university-owned halls.
Campus Police Officer
The DMU Security team work together with the Campus PC to prevent and detect crime. Our campus PC is based within Security. The office is not always occupied as the officer may be on patrol. If you need to report a crime or incident to them you can report online. You can also report a non-emergency incident by dialling 101.
