Scholarships

There is plenty of financial support for international postgraduate students too: we offer a range of scholarships and early payment discounts.

Postgraduate research students

Take a look at our handbook specifically for postgraduate research students where you can find out more about learning online and the support you can access.

Current postgraduate research students are able to engage in their training and discuss their research questions with academics, and there are a number of virtual events hosted to help you to settle into your doctoral journey, including:

  • Your Doctoral College Induction: this is also a great opportunity to meet your peers through a series of virtual social meet and greets.

  • Participating in our Doctoral College Lecture Series: These are talks delivered by research degree students, currently hosted in an online format and open to a global audience. Curious to see what this looks like? View our past online Doctoral College lectures

  • Online supervisor-student masterclasses: these sessions are designed to showcase good practice and create a fruitful relationship with your supervisory team while working remotely.

  • Our postgraduate e-social events, for more informal discussion with your peers.

  • Our launch of the Doctoral College Showcase in May 2021: this week of activities includes poster competitions, displays and three-minute thesis presentations delivered by our researchers.
