  1. How do I login to my student portal?

    To log in to the student portal you need to use your P number (on your student ID card) as your username (including the p) and your Single Sign-On password. The link to login is my.dmu.ac.uk.
  2. How do I set up Multi-Factor Authentication to access DMU email, OneDrive, Teams and online Microsoft Office applications?

  3. How can I access LearningZone and where can I view LearningZone support guides?

    You can login to LearningZone by login into myDMU and clicking on the LearningZone tile or you can log in directly from https://learningzone.dmu.ac.uk/. You can view our LearningZone DMU Support Guide for further guidance on how to use LearningZone.
  4. Where can I learn more about using DMU's IT services, including MS Teams and downloadable software?

    You can get more information about DMU IT services and how to use them by visiting the Student IT Induction page.

  5. How can I access my timetable?

    You can access your timetable by logging in to myDMU and selecting the 'timetable' tile. If there are missing modules or no modules at all please contact your faculty. If there is an ‘authorisation error message’ on the app please delete and re-install the app.
  6. What IT and online learning resources can DMU offer and how can it support me and my studies?

    You will be able to remotely launch all the applications on your personal device off-campus by logging into the Your DMU Labs service and following the instructions. You can find more information about Your DMU Labs in the ITMS Handbook.

    Adobe products:

    When accessing Adobe products, you will need your DMU email address and your DMU username and password.

    All students have access to Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) via Your DMU Labs.

    Students on specified programmes where Adobe CC is a core part of teaching and learning will automatically have access to an Adobe CC account using their DMU credentials and will therefore be able to download applications to a personal device.

    To download or update existing Adobe CC apps, please follow Adobe's instructions and then sign in on the desktop app using your DMU email address, username and password.

    If you are having issues accessing Adobe CC please view the Adobe resource page. If you have further issues you can contact DMU Library Libchat or email digitalsupport@dmu.ac.uk. Please ensure that you have used your DMU credentials when accessing Adobe CC before contacting Digital Support.

  7. How can I connect to the university Wi-Fi (Eduroam)?

  8. Can I download Microsoft 365 on my personal device?

    Yes, Microsoft 365 enables you to install Office for free on up to 5 devices and save files on your OneDrive which comes with 1tb of storage. See full download instructions.

  9. How can I access Adobe software as a student?

    All Adobe products can be accessed on campus. Should you require access to the Adobe home license, please contact your Programme Lead in the first instance.

  10. How do I access software that is available on DMU PCs?

    You will be able to remotely launch all the applications on your personal device off campus by logging into Your DMU Labs service and following the instructions.
  11. How do I use SSH/Oracle (CEM)?

    To access SSH services ensure you are logged into Horizon and follow the instructions via the link SSH/Oracle Access (CEM)
  12. How do I add my email inbox to my mobile device?

    See our email set up instructions (you will need to log in to view) to see instructions for adding email inboxes to IOS devices and the Outlook app.
  13. How do I top up my student account for printing?

    You can top up your account by visiting https://printportal.dmu.ac.uk/.
  14. What is the difference between student username and email address?

    The username will have the letter P ahead of your individual P-number. You will use your username for single sign-on student credentials to access systems such as Blackboard, MyDMU.

    Student email address is in a format as shown in the example below:

    p90123457@my365.dmu.ac.uk

  15. How can I change my password?

    You can manage your password via our Password Self Service. This facility allows you to change your password and set up security questions so you can reset your password in the event that you forget it.
  16. My account is locked due to intruder detection message, what should I do?

    Your account will unlock after 15 minutes providing no more login attempts were made.
  17. Where can I download SPSS and Nvivo from?

    SPSS and Nvivo can be downloaded from the library software page. Please select SAML and then login with your DMU Single Sign-On username and password.
  18. How can I access my DMU emails and Hear report as an alumni?

    Alumni emails can be accessed from the Microsoft online weblink if your email was hosted on Office 365.

    The email address would be your P number followed by @alumni365.dmu.ac.uk for example (p1234567@alumni365.dmu.ac.uk)

    If the email was hosted on Google please access Google Mail using your email address to login.

    You will require your P Number and DMU password thereafter to login.

    You can access the Hear system by login in with your DMU credentials on the Digitary Core webpage .

  19. How much will I be charged to print?

  20. The MyDMU app on my phone is not working, what should I do?

    Please delete and re-install the app as this will resolve most issues. If issues persist, please contact ITMS.
  21. Where can I find further information about library services?

    DMU Library and Learning services have a dedicated website for information about opening times, study support, books and much more.

  22. How do I contact IT support?

    The self-service portal is available for current students. You can use myITSupport to log calls or faults and track their progress. You can also call the ITMS Service Desk on 0116 250 6050 and speak to an analyst 24/7 or email itmsservicedesk@dmu.ac.uk.
