Preparing to attend a DMU Open Day
We know that attending an Open Day can be overwhelming with so much to experience and see. To help you get the most from your visit, we have summarised some of the most common queries to help you prepare.
What to expect from a DMU Open Day
- Some of our Open Days have an extra special theme to showcase all that we have to offer. In July for example, visitors learned about the city and the partnerships that DMU have within the local community.
You will have the chance to tour our transformed campus and accommodation with 12 halls of residence all within a 10 minute distance from the campus. Best of all our campus is less than five minutes away from the city centre.
You can find out more about your course and the facilities as well as participating in subject-specific talks allowing you to speak to academics, current students and get involved in practical demonstrations to give you an insight into the course.
Learn more about how we provide our students with international experience programmes through #DMUglobal. Our students have had the opportunity to study, work and volunteer in locations such as USA, Germany, India and Brazil.
We provide our students with guaranteed work experience opportunities through #DMUworks to supplement their academic studies and ensure they gain employable skills valued by employers.
Travelling to DMU Open Days couldn’t be easier with easy access by car from the M1 and great transport links with direct routes from a number of major cities in the UK.
