Faculty of Health and Life Sciences Scholarships

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is committed to supporting our undergraduate and postgraduate students, and offers a range of dedicated scholarships for home and international students.

Outlined below is a range of scholarship and funding packages available for 2016/17 intake.

Undergraduate

Nursing scholarship

Up to £3,000 worth of support is available to Nursing with Registration (Learning Disability) students. For more information visit our Nursing support page.

Pharmacy scholarship

Academic scholarship of up to £2,000 may be awarded to students for year 1 of the Pharmacy MPharm (Hons) programme to Home and EU students. for more information visit our pharmacy support page

Postgraduate

Vice-Chancellor’s 2020 Scholarship

To support the continued professional development of our final year students and recent graduates, we are delighted to offer a generous 50 percent fee discount with our dedicated Vice-Chancellor’s 2020 Scholarship.

Based on academic achievement and merit, this scholarship automatically applies to all DMU Home/EU students who are graduating this academic year (2016/17) or who have graduated within the last two years (2014/15 or 2015/16) with a 2:1 or above, and enrol onto one of our full-time, part-time or distance learning taught or research Masters programmes.

International Alumni Scholarship 2016/17

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is pleased to offer the International Alumni Scholarship 2016/17 for full-time international students who have achieved at least a 2:1 in their undergraduate degree. This award is part of the Faculty’s on-going commitment to enhancing the personal and career development of our own graduates.

Based on academic achievement and merit, this scholarship automatically applies to all DMU International students who are graduating this year (2016) or who have graduated within the last two years (2013/14 or 2014/15), and enrol onto one of our full-time taught Masters programmes.

You could be eligible for:

  • £2,000 discount on the 2016/17  tuition fees if you achieve a 2:1 or first class honours degree

Please note part-time and distance learning taught Masters and postgraduate research students are not eligible for the International Alumni scholarship.

Terms and Conditions International Alumni Scholarship

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences - Hedges Education Studies Scholarship 2016/17

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is pleased to offer four prestigious Hedges Education Studies scholarships for final year DMU Education Studies students who achieve at least a 2:1 in their undergraduate degree and are progressing on to the Education Practice MA in 2016/17. This award is part of the Faculty’s on-going commitment to enhancing the personal and career development of our own graduates.

Students will be entitled to 50 per cent discount on the 2016/17 tuition fees for the Education Practice MA.
