Engineering Year Zero modules

Quantitative Methods

develops the mathematical skills and techniques that you will need to study Engineering.  You will learn about mathematical theories and concepts, and their applications.

Engineering Applications

introduces you to the basic laws of physics and how to apply them to engineering problems. You will develop a clear understanding of the basic analytical principles of mechanical and electrical engineering.

ICT and Business Practice

is split into two parts: in ICT, you will learn how to use spreadsheets to find solutions to engineering problems, create reports and use HTML to design web pages. You will also be introduced to MATrix LABoratory software. In Business, you will study business analysis, with a focus on basic finance, human resources and project management.
