Fundamentals of Anaesthetic Care

The module is designed for students who have a theatre nursing or ODP background only and provides a basis in anaesthetic theory and practice, enabling the student to acquire essential competencies and a deeper understanding of associated concepts. Students require a Consultant Anaesthetist /Practice assessor must hold a recognised anaesthetic qualification.

Entry Criteria

  • Effective registration with the NMC / HPC or other relevant professional body. ESSENTIAL
  • Undertaken successful level 4/5 academic study. ESSENTIAL
  • Currently be employed in practice and have the support of their manager in undertaking the module. ESSENTIAL
