Health Policy and Strategy
This is a Master’s level module and is designed to enable students to learn about the wider framework of health policies within which their own professional work is based. It allows students to consider the principles underpinning policies in the NHS and the challenges of implementing them.
Students will explore some of the principal policy challenges and academic debates which characterise health policy in the early twenty first century, mainly in the UK. Students will be able to appreciate the ‘bigger picture’ which provides a context for their own role. This will enable students to participate more effectively in policy making and/ or reviewing and advising upon policy issues.
- Ability to study at Masters level (minimum of 2.2 first degree OR evidence of degree level study) and evidence of recent study.
The module forms part of the Master’s in Research (Applied Health Studies).
