The curriculum for this module is split into two main parts. 1. Property management and real estate in a functional, technical and regulatory realm. 2. Management theory Technical/Legal Property Management and Real Estate 1. Legal and regulatory framework governing property management in housing and commercial real estate. 2. Management and governance of private housing for rent or sale. 3. Management and governance of the large scale public housing high-rise projects. 4. Legislative framework for housing regulation, redress and landlord responsibilities. 5. Housing management practice in different countries. Management & Organisation Theory 1. Human resource management (including employer/employee rights). 2. Motivation 3. Performance management 4. Impact of a customer focused housing service on providers and clients.
