Financial Markets and the Central Bank

Module description

This module looks at the financial market and real economy relationship from the central bank’s perspective. The focus of this module is the European Central Bank (ECB).  Indeed, the students will learn the relationship between financial markets, the central bank, financial crises, and the real economy (i.e. unemployment, economic growth, underground activities, etc). So, the module looks at how ECB conducts monetary policy within the euro-system framework.
