Comparative Public Administration

Module code: POPP 3403

Module description

Work Based Live Case Study aims to enhance experiences and opportunities for students who wish to understand, explore and gain a better grasp of how to enhance their employment potential and life choices. It does this through your experiencing a controlled consultancy project using a "real" organisation who has agreed to take part. You will learn how to apply what you have already learned and what you will be learning during this module.

There is also substantial teaching of the theory and methods employed by strategic consultants, and this will equip you with the skill‑set and knowledge to be successful in life after university.

This module gives you a significant opportunity to think and develop your own ideas and apply them to a real business situation. The sterility of the lecture theatre and classroom will now be enhanced by the cut and thrust of a real business. This offers an immense learning opportunity that will help you to gain a deeper understanding of some of the issues covered in this module and to apply theory to real practice.

We know that students derive substantial benefit from this module from positive feedback.
