Module description

Key to this new module will be the development of the law student's commercial awareness and entrepreneurial skills by understanding the many skills that a lawyer in the marketplace can add to any commercial or socially enterprising organisation. Also, built into this module are networking opportunities for law students, with the Law School's professional links. The teaching methods used on this module will be varied, using a selection of lectures, tutorials, guest lectures and Blackboard facilities as a learning space.

  • Study and placement abroad.
  • Free movement of lawyers within the EU
  • Comparative legal education and training

  • Lectures: 14 hours
  • Tutorials: 2 hours

Subject to variation depending upon guest speaker requirements


  • Group project (1000 words): 60%
  • Group business pitch (15 mins): 20%
  • Self and peer reflection (1500 words): 20%
