Module code: POPP 1407
Module description
The module examines the changing nature of British politics and provides an introduction to the study of British politics. It examines the structures and processes of politics at all tiers, from local government through to the EU. Underpinning the module is the nature of political and governmental interaction between the citizen and the state and the factors which influence that relationship or generate pressure for change. Today, all aspects of government activity and policy come under close public scrutiny, not only for the value system that underpins it but also for its management, administration, implementation and the impact it has in the short, medium and long term. It is those factors the module will explore by examining.
