Module description

The module provides an introduction to international humanitarian law and does not assume a prior knowledge of international law. The sources of the legal rules are considered as is the distinction between international and internal armed conflicts. The module focuses particularly on the law relating to targeting, weapons, and protection to non-combatants. The module also considers the enforcement of IHL and the relationship it has with international human rights law.
