Waterway Gardens

Total number of bedrooms in hall: 90 

On the edge of campus and close to a range of local amenities, Waterway Gardens is managed by DMU.

It consists of six-bedroom houses, each with a shared bathroom (two toilets and two showers) and laundry facilities.

TV points are available in all bedrooms and lounge areas (a co-axial cable is required). Broadband connection is provided and upgrades to the basic package are available.

Limited car parking spaces are available and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (applications are made via Leicester City Council). For more information on how to apply for parking click here.

Each bedroom has:

  • Single bed and bedside cabinet
  • Wardrobe
  • Desk with chair, shelves, a desk lamp and bin
  • Vanity unit

Communal areas (bathrooms & landings) are cleaned

    • Standard contract: 41 weeks and one day, 22 September 2023 to 6 July 2024
    • Year 1 Nursing/ Midwifery: 44 weeks, 1 day, 22 September 2023 - 27 July 2024
    • Year 1 Paramedicine/Ambulance Practice: 48 weeks, 1 day, 22 September 2023 - 24 August 2024

    2022/23

    • Year 1 Nursing/ Midwifery: Friday 23rd September 2022 - Saturday 29th July 2023 (44 weeks, 1 day)
    • Year 1 Paramedicine/Ambulance Practice: Friday 23rd September 2022 - Saturday 26th August 2023 (48 weeks, 1 day)

  2. Rent and costs

    Rent: £100 per week, including utility bills and contents insurance.

    • Nursing/ Midwifery - £ 4,414.30
    • Paramedicine/Ambulance Practice - £ 4,814.30

      Rent: £105 per week, including utility bills and contents insurance.

    This is separate from the parking spaces at Waterway Gardens which can be found here

    Students staying in Bede, New Wharf and Waterway Gardens have the opportunity to apply for a resident’s parking permit.

    There are only a limited number available (10 in total) and as such they are granted on a first come first served basis..

    • The permit will cost £717.50
    • The permit is valid for the duration of your accommodation contract
    • Application is via the online booking system once you have confirmed your accommodation booking
