Flats have a shared kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools, as well as an area with a sofa and curtains. Classic and premium studios also have lounge chairs and a coffee table, and their own kitchen facilities with a cooker, fridge, freezer & microwave. Each flat also has a vacuum cleaner, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, iron and an ironing board and a bin.

Internet broadband is up to 70mb and is included in rent costs (with the option to upgrade to 100mb), while TV connection points are available in bedrooms and kitchens (a co-axial cable is required).

The hall features CCTV, a secure door entry system and 24-hour roaming security, bicycle storage, table tennis and coinless laundry facilities (£3.60 per wash, £1.70 per dry).

Newarke Point also features a common room, this includes a study space, pool table and TV.

Contract lengths

UK/ EU student - 43 weeks and one night, from Friday 25 September 2020 to Saturday 24 July 2021.

International student - 44 weeks and one night, from Friday 18 September 2020 to Saturday 24 July 2021.

Rent and costs

Classic en suite, £141 per week, inclusive of bills. UK/EU student total: £6,083.16, International student total: £6,224.16.

Premium en suite, £160 per week, inclusive of bills. UK/EU student total: £6,902.88, International student total: £7,062.88.

Classic studio, £182 per week, inclusive of bills. UK/EU student total: £7,852.03, International student total: £8,034.03.

N.B. A guarantor is required, who can be either UK or international but must be aged over 25 and in full-time employment.

Additional (and important) rent considerations

The first instalment is payable before arrival. You will not be able to use your student loan to make this payment, as you won’t receive it until after you have enrolled on your course.

You can make payments by direct debit, debit card or credit card. Bank transfers can be used if you have no other ways of paying. Instalments should be made directly to Unite Group.
