Starting in January
DMU has a limited amount of rooms available for students requiring accommodation from January.
To book accommodation for this shorter contract you must meet the eligibility criteria. If you are unsure if you meet the criteria contact the Accommodation Office for clarification.
As online booking is not available you can email to register your interest in a room from October. Starting in November, the Accommodation Office will contact you to advise you which halls of residence are available and to inform you what is required prior to moving in, such as payments due etc.

Room allocation and contract lengths
Rooms will then be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Where possible, January starting students will be allocated in flats together so they are living with others also new to the university.
Standard contract end dates will apply.
Confirming your booking
Once a room has been booked you will then receive an email with instructions to confirm your booking.
You will be required to login to accept the booking terms and conditions and make a booking fee payment of £200
You will also be required to enter a contract which will involve:
- Signing a contract. You may also need to provide Guarantor details
- Making an initial rent instalment or paying the full rental amount due
