Apprenticeships Showcase Event – 4th February 2020

Join us during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) to find out more about the apprenticeship opportunities available at De Montfort University (DMU).

With experience in delivering degree apprenticeship programmes to local and national organisations, DMU has a number of programmes with dates starting in 2020.

Programmes include:

  • Architect Degree Apprenticeship
  • Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship
  • Cyber Security Technical Professional Integrated Degree Apprenticeship
  • Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship
  • Embedded Electronic Systems Design and Development Engineer Degree Apprenticeship
  • Executive MBA Apprenticeship
  • Postgraduate Engineer Apprenticeship
  • Senior Leader Master's Degree Apprenticeship

This event is aimed at:

  • Employers seeking to use their Apprenticeship Levy
  • Employers keen to understand degree apprenticeships
  • Those in employment who are interested in professional development
  • Those already involved in apprenticeships

Attendees will benefit from hearing first hand the detail on degree apprenticeships, and how they work in practice. Delegates will also have the opportunity to network over refreshments.

Building Successful Degree Apprenticeships in the Workplace - a panel event 5th February 2020

Join us during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) to discuss how to successfully support professional apprenticeship opportunities in your organisation on Wednesday 5th February 2020 from 12pm – 2pm including lunch in the Civil Court, Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University (DMU)

With experience in delivering degree apprenticeship programmes to local and national organisations, De Montfort University (DMU) will lead a panel to discuss the following key elements:

  • Choosing the right programme or training provider
  • What apprenticeship learning means in practice
  • Promoting apprenticeship opportunities to existing and new staff
  • Off-the-job learning and the Development Evidence Log
  • Work-based mentors role and responsibilities
  • ESFA funding and guidance

This event is aimed at:

  • Employers seeking to use their Apprenticeship Levy
  • Employers keen to understand degree apprenticeships
  • Those in employment who are interested in professional development
  • Those already involved in apprenticeships

Leicester Castle Business School Spring Showcase – 30th April 2020

The Leicester Business School business showcase gives you and your organisation the opportunity to engage and work with us to the benefit of your business, you will be able meet with all of the areas that can support your business including Placements, Graduate Champions, Executive Company Projects & Careers through to our Innovation Centre, Research Groups and Executive Education unit for all of your continuing professional development and apprenticeship needs.

You will also have the opportunity to attend some on our taster sessions on Professional Coaching with Alex Morgan, Improving communication in organizations - an introduction to LegoSeriousPlay with Julia Reeve and a Social Media Q&A session with Jenny Cross from Cross Productions

We will also have stands from some of our partners including the Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (llep), the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Directors (IoD)

The event will start at 4.30pm with a short introduction by Dean/PVC of the Faculty of Business and Law at 5pm followed by the opportunity to visit the information stands and network with other businesses while enjoying a glass of fizz with some light summer bites.
