Executive Company Projects
Leicester Castle Business School (LCBS) provides postgraduate students with the exciting opportunity to enhance their workplace skills and put their Master’s degree into practice by applying to take part in a three month Executive Company Project (ECP).
ECPs give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a specific business challenge either individually or in small teams. During ECPs, students are partnered with companies in order to conduct research, as requested by their host organisation.
Students will complete a business report for their host organisation and may be required to deliver a presentation to the senior management director of their host organisation
Students who choose the ECP are required to attend an introductory information session and a three-day project preparation programme. A multitude of activities take place during these preparation sessions including informative presentations by academic staff, external speakers, innovative business simulations and business communication led by industry experts. These sessions equip students with vital professional skills and knowledge for use not only during their projects, but also in their future business careers.
All students interested in taking part in an ECP undergo a selection process. Students must submit a CV, and take part in a video interview to be considered for the ECP
Successful students are allocated to an ECP from a selection of available opportunities. Students will be able to view the projects online and select three project preferences.
Students also have the opportunity to self-source their project and are advised to reach out to the ECP team as early as possible to work on their project sourcing strategy.
Examples of previous Executive Company Projects
ECP students have enjoyed a wide variety of successful projects including:
