Partnerships and collaborations

The Economics Network

EconomicsNetworkWe are members of the Economics Network, an organisation that aims to enhance the quality of learning and teaching of economics throughout the higher education community. We have our academics representing DMU, joined by various others participating in the events organised by the network. We aim to incorporate the innovative ideas and resources shared by different scholars, such as diverse classroom exercises, question banks, simulations and experimental labs, into our teaching practice.

Government Economic Service

GovernmentEconomicService

We have developed a successful relationship with the Government Economic Service (GES) who are the biggest employer of economists in the UK. Every year several of our students successfully complete a placement year or internship with the GES.  We have returning GES alumni who join us for employability and networking events.

DMU Economics Society

DMUEconomicsSociety

Our Economics students collaborate through the newly formed Economics Society (@DMUEconomics). Organising workshops, welcome events, academic debates, career sessions are amongst the several activities that enable our students to network and expand their potentials.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing

CharteredInstituteMarketing

DMU is proud to be a Graduate Gateway University for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). The CIM is one of the leading professional bodies for marketers worldwide, and exists to develop the profession, maintain standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners. This allows our students to gain a professional marketing qualification alongside their marketing degree. This means for most qualifications, students and graduates may only have to take one assessment instead of the usual three.

Data & Marketing Association

DataMarketingAssociation

The Institute of Data & Marketing, part of the Data & Marketing Association (DMA), advances the careers of marketers through its highly regarded training and learning programmes. The IDM has mapped DMU’s marketing degrees against the IDM Professional Certificate syllabus. This means if you study the IDM accredited modules you will be eligible to sit an extra exam to achieve an IDM professional qualification.
