Cyber Security Centre
The Cyber Security Centre (CSC) consists of a multi-disciplinary team of academics and industry experts with a wide range of cyber security and digital forensics research interests; and is an intrinsic part of the DMU’s Cyber Technology Institute (CTI).
Established in 2011, the Cyber Security Centre has dedicated laboratories/facilities for cyber security and digital forensic education and research; as well as specialist technical support; and is based in the Faculty of Technology at De Montfort University, Leicester.
Our main areas of activity are: education and training, including providing professional training courses to industry as well as higher education qualifications; research - both publically funded and commercially-supported; as well as a range of consultancy services.
The Cyber Security Centre’s mission is to provide the full benefits to all of a safe, secure and resilient cyberspace.
Key research areas relate to both the technical aspects and human factors of cyber security.
These include, but are not limited to: incident response, penetration testing, industrial control system security, privacy issues; as well as cyber psychology; intelligent transport and SMART technologies.
The Cyber Security Centre offers a range of training programmes to suit both individual and organisational needs.
