Arts, Design and Humanities Procedures

Procedures for Research Ethics Applications

All ADH Faculty staff and students – who wish to undertake research (academic or commercial) must complete a Faculty of Arts Design and Humanities Ethics Application Form.

The ADH Ethics Application Form requires information from the researcher for the assessment of ethical risks in response to a range of legal requirements under European and UK law as well as academic best practice. This applies irrespective of where in the world the intended research is to be conducted.

Please ensure that the study-appropriate ADH Ethics Application form is completed in full and accompanied by any relevant supporting document templates as indicated in the form.

Research activities may not begin until the correct ethics approval procedures have been completed and written authorisation of the proposed study has been obtained.
