With quantum computing rapidly advancing, traditional encryption methods are at serious risk of becoming obsolete.

This poses a significant threat to sectors like healthcare, where ransomware attacks have surged by 264%, and average data breach costs have reached $10.93 million in recent years.

Dr. Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Muhammad Kazim, and Richard Smith successfully completed both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of our CyberASAP journey with the project titled "Protecting Medical Data: A Novel AI-Driven E-Healthcare Solution using Post-Quantum Lightweight Cryptography."

CyberASAP is a highly competitive Innovate UK programme designed to help academics commercialise cybersecurity innovations with only a select number of projects advancing through both phases. Backed by extensive market validation and strong engagement with key stakeholders across healthcare and cybersecurity sectors, the project is now progressing towards launching a spin-out company to bring this next-generation security solution to market. Our sector-agnostic product is designed for seamless integration with existing infrastructures, making it adaptable to various industries beyond healthcare.

We are also keen to collaborate with partners and stakeholders working in the post-quantum space to advance the adoption of secure and future-ready technologies.
