Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships target researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. The fellowship helps researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors. You can find more resources here:

Eligibility:
- have an excellent CV
- have a PhD and a maximum of 8 years full-time research experience
- for the European Fellowship, you must not have lived or worked in the UK for more than 12 months within the three-year period, prior to the closing date of the application.
Indicative 2025 timeline:
- 9 April 2025: Launch of the call for proposals
- 14 May 2025: Send application to us (Centre for Law and Social Justice)
- 10 September 2025: Deadline for submitting proposals
- February 2026: Notification of call results to applicants
- April 2026: Grant agreement signature for successful projects
- April 2026: First EU-funded projects start
How to apply with the Centre for Law and Social Justice:
- Choose a topic relating to any aspect of law and/or social justice (contact me with any queries)
- Write a short proposal (no more than 950 words) on your proposed project (including the background to the project, objectives and approach)
- Attach your CV and a supporting letter indicating why you are an outstanding candidate
- Submit your application to Professor Julia Shaw: jshaw@dmu.ac.uk by 14 May 2025
- a CV with details of your academic and other relevant accomplishments
- a working research proposal of up to 1000 words
- a supporting letter explaining what makes you a potentially outstanding candidate for a Fellowship and synergies with our work.
The successful candidates will be supported in developing the full proposal and application for final submission on 10 September 2025.
