Work placements

All of our undergraduate Business degrees offer the opportunity to undertake a one-year work placement as part of your course allowing you to gain professional work experience.

If you are on a Tier 4 visa and are approved to undertake a one-year work placement, you will be granted a longer visa that includes the work placement. However, if you do not subsequently undertake a placement, we will curtail your visa which may have implications for any further Tier 4 visa applications. Any time added for work placements will contribute towards your time limit for studying in the UK.

Several of our postgraduate Business courses also provide the opportunity to gain work experience through the completion of a Business Research Project, Executive Company Project or a Consulting Project, offering you the opportunity to put your skills and knowledge into practice.

Our dedicated careers and employability team, DMU Works, are also on hand to support you with finding placements, volunteering opportunities, CV writing skills, research opportunities and much more.
