MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE
With over 150 institutions and over 40,000 courses how do students decide where to go and what to study? This presentation will provide helpful hints and tips to support students through the decision making process.
What is life at university really like? Delivered by a current DMU student, this talk provides students with an insight into student life and what to expect from university.
HOW TO APPLY
This talk provides students with an overview of the UCAS application process, outlining key dates, how to complete the different sections and what happens post-application.
What to do, what not to do and how to get the dreaded personal statement onto paper. This talk can include interactive activities to get students started on their statements.
SUCCEEDING AT UNIVERSITY INTERVIEWS
Many students who are invited to attend an interview as part of the university application process are unaware of what to expect. This talk aims to equip students with knowledge of what happens, what admissions tutors are looking for and how to prepare.
A GUIDE TO STUDENT FINANCE
Student finance and funding is an increasingly important concern for students and parents. This talk can be delivered separately or to both, designed to explain the process, entitlement and repayment clearly.
DON’T BLOW THE BUDGET
This interactive activity gets students splashing cash from a fictional budget, overcoming financial obstacles and understanding how much university actually costs.
This game also encourages group work, negotiation and leadership skills.
