What is Law Club?

Law Club is a group of students from different schools and colleges across the region who are interested in law and who meet on some Tuesday evenings at Leicester De Montfort Law School. You don’t have to be studying law, planning to take a law degree or applying to De Montfort University (DMU). You just need to be interested in law. Come on your own or with friends from school/college – everyone is welcome.

Is Law Club for me?

If you’re not sure if law is for you, or you have a busy schedule already, why not come to one meeting and see what you think? If you are considering studying a Law degree, this is a great opportunity to see a law school in action and to ensure you make the right decision.

How much does Law Club cost?

Law Club is free of charge.

Where is Law Club?

Law Club is held in the Hugh Aston Building. This purpose-built building contains impressive facilities for law students such as modern lecture theatres, seminar rooms, break-out areas, mock law court, client interviewing room and integrated law library.

“Law Club was a great opportunity for me to meet new people from different colleges and schools and learn more about interesting law subjects on a monthly basis. Through Law Club I also got to know tutors who will be teaching me for the next three years, making the move to university easier as I know what to expect when I begin my law degree. Of all the activities I would say that Street Law and taking part in a mooting competition was the most fun.”
