Student Finance and Welfare offer a variety of appointments to suit your needs. Most appointments can be booked via the Student Gateway, on MyGateway - follow the links below, or by calling 0116 257 7595 (option 3, then option 4).

Quick Query appointments 

A 15-minute appointment to quickly get to know you and provide a little direction. If more time is needed we will book you in to one of our follow up appointments.

Money Doctor appointments

An opportunity to review your finances. These appointments can be used to speak to an advisor about money management, budgeting and to investigate student funding issues with Student Finance England or the NHS.

Welfare Officer appointments

We also offer more in depth appointments with our Welfare Officers. These appointments are for a range of financial welfare issues, including debt advice, money management, housing concerns and benefits. These appointments can only be booked via members of staff, to ensure you’re seeing the right person. Transitions Team appointments 

If you’re looking to find out more about support for care leavers, being a student carer or students who live independently from their parents (estrangement), then the Transitions Team are the people to meet. These appointments are an opportunity to review your finances, to look at any housing concerns or questions you might have and consider other funding or support you may be entitled to.
