Physical wellbeing at home
Taking part in physical activity is not just an important way to look after your physical wellbeing. There are a number of other benefits to taking part in daily activity, including:
- Boost your mental wellbeing
- Improve your fitness and strength
- Improve your sleep
- Reduces stress
- Improves productivity
There is a huge range of free online sessions and home workouts that you can get involved with. Check out the free NHS home workouts that are available.
If this isn't for you, there are lots of other option such as yoga, dancing and stretching.
You can also take part in a DMU Leisure workout by heading across to their YouTube channel where they have a range of free home workouts!
BUCS have also created a resource to support you to stay active at home.
Please note that when doing exercise at home, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and make sure that you have enough room to take part in the activities and exercises demonstrated. Work out to your own ability and ensure that you warm up and stretch before commencing any kind of aerobic activity.
