Nursing and Midwifery

Our courses are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and benefit from more than 50 years’ teaching experience alongside placements in a range of hospital and community settings.

You can also gain practical experience through DMU's career-enhancing DMU Global and Square Mile initiatives, which have enabled students to help to uncover cases of type II diabetes and bowel cancer in Leicester and help with medical campaigns in India, Bali and Peru.

From August 2020, all nursing, midwifery and many allied health professional degree students will receive at least £5,000 a year with up to £3,000 further funding available. Find out more here.
