This section aims to see you through the period after your first four weeks, through to the end of Probation and beyond. It aims to build on the basic information provided during your workplace induction and give you a range of important information that you help you fully integrate.

Programme of events

NB - our Transitions Programme is currently under review and being up-dated.

We have a number of “bite sized” events (between one and two hours in duration) that are repeated throughout the year, designed to increase your understanding of DMU.

As an example these have included:

Research Integrity guidelines for Academics and Research staff

The Guidelines for Good Research Practice provide information on the standards researchers are expected to adhere to. Additionally, the Guidelines outline the responsibilities DMU has to support best practice.

The Misconduct in Research – Investigation Procedure has been developed for investigating allegations of research misconduct at DMU. The procedure covers anyone conducting research under the auspices of DMU, including research degree students.
