The Student Finance & Welfare team has two parts to it:

Student Administrative Support ( who deal with various areas which include:

  • Administration of scholarships and bursaries
  • Student ID cards*
  • Council Tax exemption certificates
  • Student status letters
  • CAS requests
  • Change of Circumstance notification to funding providers
  • Confirmation of attendance to release students' fees and funding payments

*Please note: student ID card queries should be sent to 


Student Finance & Welfare ( who deal with various areas which include:

  • DMU Support Fund
  • F.E. Learner Support Fund
  • Advanced Learner Loan Bursary
  • Emergency financial situations
  • Budgeting advice and money management
  • Debt advice and debt management
  • Benefits advice and general financial advice
  • Help students chase up funding delays
  • Welfare advice (e.g. housing issues, forced marriage etc)
