The Employability Award
As part of DMU’s continuing support for student employability the university is introducing a new initiative for all final-year* undergraduate students.
The Employability Award will provide £100 to every eligible student to help towards the costs of securing employment.
Students will receive the financial assistance in January.
The award is the latest in a range of measures the university is taking in line with our commitment to improving student experience and to enhancing student employability.
Other initiatives already helping DMU students maximise their career opportunities include Frontrunners internships, a Unitemps job agency on campus, an employability mentoring scheme and an online portal for career planning and job hunting. We also offer the chance to apply for an additional DMU Employability Travel Bursary.
The university is committed to listening to student feedback and making positive changes. Recently we introduced #loveDMU - a range of other support for our students in order to enhance life on campus. You can read more about it here.
*All students studying on courses leading to an undergraduate qualification or undergraduate credits will be considered, provided that the course in question comprises more than one year of full-time study (or its part-time equivalent).
Students are eligible in the academic year which is expected to be their final year on the course, based on the standard study pattern for the course. Students repeating their final year are not eligible for a second award.
Students on professional courses should contact their course team for confirmation of their eligibility.
