DMU have been shortlisted for  pay and benefits awards this year, including the WSB awards.

Academic Staff

The Academic holiday year is 1 September - 31 August. All full-time academic staff are entitled to 35 days of holiday each year, with the exception of Research Assistants who are entitled to 30 days each year. There are also a number of statutory bank holidays and concessionary days University staff benefit from.

Professional Services

Similar to notice periods, holiday for professional services staff will be dependent upon their salary grade:

 
GradeFull-time holiday entitlement (days)
A - D 20
E - F 22
G - H 23
Senior 35

Part-time professional services staff will be allocated their holiday in hours (inclusive of statutory bank holidays and concessionary days). However, those working the same number of hours, five days a week, should manage their holiday in days.

Bank Holiday and Additional Closure Days

In addition to the leave entitlements above, all eligible staff are entitled to leave on all the bank holidays (usually 8 per year) and up to 5 additional closure days.
