Looking for Students who LOVE Music

We would like to invite DMU students to join us for the unique 'Hear and Now' project with the Philharmonia Orchestra from the 25th until the 28th of February.

While creating exciting new music and making new friends, you will get the opportunity to play with and learn from professional musicians from the Philharmonia Orchestra.

In the workshop, you will be working with vulnerable adults and their carers, local school children and professional musicians to create some wonderful new music and new memories!

Proud to present our Wind Serenades!

On Saturday the 24th of February we are proud to feature the  DMU Wind Serenades at Trinity House Chapel. Featuring a programme for wind octet performed by members of the DMU Orchestra and directed by renowned clarinettist Peter Fielding.

Programme

Mozart: Overture to the Magic Flute
Hummel: Partita in E Flat
Händel: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba
Mozart: Serenade No. 12 in C

The concert will start at 19:00, doors open at 18:30.
Tickets are only £5 and can be bought on the door (cash only).

FREE Taiko Drumming Workshops

DMU students and staff can now learn how to play the Japanese Taiko Drums!

As part of the new #DMUthrive programme we have teamed up with the DMU Mental Health Team and Bullfrog Arts to offer our students and staff weekly Taiko workshops.

The workshops take place on term-time Wednesdays from 14:00 - 16:00 at Chantry Building. Read more or book your place!
