If you are at risk of immediate harm or need urgent medical attention please call emergency services now on 999 if you are unable to speak during your call please use the ‘silent solution’ and press 55. The UK Government have stated you can leave your home to seek urgent assistance during lockdown.
The Mandala Project is still accessible to DMU Students during the lockdown. Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange support. Currently we are able to offer 1:1 email or phone appointments between 1-4pm on weekdays (excluding bank holidays).
You can still contact DMU Security year-round for safety advice, 24 hours a day on 0116 257 7642.
The Mandala Project can signpost DMU Students towards practical support if you have experienced;
Domestic violence including so called ‘honour crime’, forced marriage and coercive control
Sexual harassment including stalking, unwanted contact, abusive language and behaviours on campus which create an intimidating environment

If you are in Leicestershire and have experienced a sexual assault within the last 7 days please call Juniper Lodge for advice on 0116 273 3330 as soon as you are able to. If you are not in Leicestershire, you can find details of a local Sexual Assault referral centre near to your home via the NHS website.
Outside of DMU, UAVA offer residents of Leicestershire a helpline from 8-8 Monday to Saturday on 0808 80 200 28 and can advise regarding any aspect of recent or historic sexual violence, domestic violence or ‘honour’ abuse.
If you need urgent Mental Health support please follow the advice provided by our wellbeing team.
If you choose to contact the Mandala Project, our responders will discuss your options with you so that you can make decisions about the support you need. They can also outline your options to report to the police or make a formal report to DMU so that you can start internal disciplinary procedures if you decide that is what you would like to do.
