Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.
There are loads of fun and rewarding opportunities to volunteer your time while at DMU, including the Stomp Round Leicester and opportunities to work in the new LOROS charity shop about to open in Leicester.
For more information, LOROS will be hosting a pop-up stall tomorrow (Tuesday 3 June) inside the Food Village between 11am-2pm to promote their opportunities.
As well as supporting charities and good causes, volunteering gives you the opportunity to create new friendships, gain new experiences and share experiences with people from different backgrounds. It will help with your confidence and create lasting memories as you give back to the community.
We’d love to hear about your own volunteering stories, so please share these with @dmuengagement on Instagram.
