Delivered by Southpaw Dance company in partnership with Journeys Festival International, Rush is a large-scale, mass participation dance spectacular, featuring a cast of up to 200 members of the Leicester community.
The company are looking for individuals who would like to take part in a celebration of cultural expression, identity, local lives and daily struggles.
The performance will be told through the lens of three local characters and examine the daily frustrations that move us to effect change, offering dance, music, and the power of vibrant, cultural protest as a voice to express those struggles.
Rush combines live dance performance with large scale video projection, grand staging and stunning visual effects.
No former dance experience is required as you will learn material in weekly classes across the city alongside members of the Leicester community.
Taster workshops will be taking place across the city from Monday 13 June, with the final performance on Saturday 13 August.
