Clean up your travel emissions with the all-new electric Hospital Hopper

The Hospital Hopper buses which run between Leicester’s three main hospitals (Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital and General Hospital) are upgrading from diesel to fully electric vehicles.

The new bus service, launched in partnership with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) and bus operator Centrebus, will provide free USB chargers, passenger information screens and have new eye-catching design.

This comes as part of the Leicester Buses Partnership between Leicester City Council and all local bus operators to improve services, routes and vehicles across the city. The new Hospital Hoppers will become part of the new Greenlines electric bus network, which already serves all three Park and Ride sites in the city.

As a DMU student, you can use the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) Hospital Hopper bus for free.
