DMU will be celebrating the United Nations (UN) Interfaith Harmony Week with a series of #HealthyDMU, OpenFaith and DSU events from Tuesday 4 – Friday 7 February 2020.
The week will allow students and staff to learn about a variety of different faiths as well as how spirituality can enhance wellbeing.
As part of the weeks’ events there will be the opportunity to take part in tasting faith based traditional foods and enjoy a diverse range of performances by DMU’s talented student groups.
DMU is committed in supporting the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and as a hub for SDG 16 - peace, justice and strong institutions - the events allow staff and students at the university to learn about one another and celebrate the diverse communities here on campus.
As part of the week the OpenFaith initiative has also arranged volunteering in collaboration with One Roof Leicester to support the homeless community with winter night shelter.
