This week there were 13 home and seven away games for our DMUsport teams at BUCS on Wednesday 29 January.
We went to Beaumont Park to support our Men’s Football fourth team in its match against the Oxford Brookes third team.
The match kicked off at 2.30pm on the 3G pitch and both teams were on top form. De Montfort FC was attacking from the start and scored its first goal 25 minutes in to the match.
37 minutes in was a penalty kick for Oxford Brookes as the team scored its first goal bringing the score to 1-1.
After a short rain shower at half-time, tensions were high as both teams were fighting to win the match. With 20 minutes left, the score was still 1-1.
DMU scored the goal which won them the match with only 10 minutes to go. The team celebrated with cheers and the atmosphere at Beaumont Park was electric.
The final score of the match was De Montfort 2 - 1 Oxford Brookes.
