Student safety at DMU

Making sure you’re safe while you are here at university is our priority, that’s why we have lots of things in place to help you stay safe.

We have produced a guide on how to get to some of the key places around Leicester. We’ve highlighted the best-lit streets so you can easily and safely explore the city after dark, take a look at the map below.

The DMU security team are on hand 24/7, all year round, if you ever need them you can give them a call on 0116 257 7642 at any time of the day. Also, our friendly and approachable campus cop is available on campus if you have any questions or you’d like to report an incident.

ADT taxis have a partnership with DMU and you can book for discounted rates easily in the Students’ Union or phone via 0116 255 5222.

The ‘Your safety’ tile on the MyDMU app means you will have all of the security numbers on your phone should you ever need them.
