Our DMU student wellfare team are looking to recruit a Student Cohesion Ambassador to support our diverse and inclusive student environment at DMU. This paid role will enable the successful candidate to work up to 10 hours per week between October 2019 and March 2020 as part of our frontrunners scheme.
How can this role boost your employability?
You will have the opportunity to foster greater rapport and interaction between our various diverse student groups and to encourage them to engage with DMU’s student welfare services. This involves promoting the #HealthyDMU initiative including masterclasses and OpenFaith events as well as pitching your own ideas to enhance cohesion on campus. Furthermore, this internship will give you the opportunity to develop a wide range of professional skills such as event planning, strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder management. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a leadership skills training programme.
In order to apply this role:
- you will need to be a DMU registered student for the duration of the internship
- you must have attended a Frontrunners application workshop
- you must not have previously undertaken a Frontrunners internship or Sandwich Year as part of your studies.
